I started “Grave Jibes Fanzine” as a bilingual (RU/EN) webzine in October, 2008, leaded only by enthusiasm and curiosity to the music I love (post-punk, coldwave, batcave, deathrock, no wave, punk ’77 and so on). Having no skills, no knowledge. Almost nothing. The first issue (out 4th Nov, 2008), which actually was a myspace blog issue, I did alone with contribution of Psycho_Oboroten (the cover) and Osty (an article). Then by a lucky chance I got support from my friend Tacitus, who much helped me with the zine’s development, becoming the “brain” of the project.
It seems now that much time has passed since that first issue, while “Grave Jibes” step by step was growing up. First pdfs, reviews, start of “Grave Jibes Parties” in Saint Petersburg, now the website…. And many plans and ideas for the future.
So, stay tuned, and never hesitate to contact us (if we don’t answer that means we just haven’t received a message), any support is always appreciated, even if it’s just a good word, and any band of above mentioned and related styles will always have attention from our side.
